WHO WE ARE
In 1953, John M. Stall II started a small repair shop in downtown Lafayette with an emphasis on quality and service that is known today as Stall & Kessler’s Diamond Center. Stall and Kessler’s Diamond Center has evolved with decades of experience to provide you with unsurpassed customer service and jewelry excellence. We offer you Indiana’s only Master Graduate Gemologist, three GIA Diamond Graders, two GIA pearl graduates, and three GIA Retail-Jeweler Graduates. Our on-site gold craftsman enables you to have a piece of quality jewelry custom made and your jewelry repair done in-house.
We specialize in loose and mounted diamonds in all shapes and sizes. All of our diamonds are hand selected and are conflict free. Our colored gemstones are vibrant, rich in color, and include many unique cutting styles that result in individualistic jewelry styles. Our jewelry craftsman, who is a Jewelers of America (JA) Certified Bench Jeweler Technician, creates custom jewelry and does quality jewelry repair in-house. This means that almost all jewelry never leaves the premises.
Stall & Kessler’s Diamond Center has been voted Lafayette’s best jewelry store for the eighth year in a row through Journal & Courier’s Reader’s Choice. We are honored and privileged to serve in such a wonderful community!
Stall and Kessler’s Diamond Center has the honor of being a part of the Independent Jeweler’s Organization(IJO) and Jewelers of America (JA), meaning we are educated in and adhere to ethical business standards and practices.
Our diamond sources have supplied us with written guarantees that diamonds purchased by Stall and Kessler’s are “Conflict Free” and comply with the resolution set forth by the Kimberly Process. We are also using suppliers that make jewelry using recyclable metals. Stall a nd Kessler’s adhere to these business practices because it makes our suppliers and us more socially and environmentally responsible for current and future generations.
John M. Stall II started a small repair shop in downtown Lafayette in the “Lafayette Life” building on the north side of the square. For many years, John worked emphasizing quality and service in everything he did.
In the 1970’s, John Stall III developed a relationship playing racquetball at the gym. Jeff was managing a local jewelry store and John III took naturally to the jewelry industry since he grew up in his father’s shop.
John and Jeff started Stall and Kessler’s Diamond Center and moved to the current location where we are today in 1979. Since then, John and Jeff have developed an even stronger business model, emphasizing on building strong relationships, trust, quality and of course…diamonds.
The Stall and Kessler’s name stays the same, but is owned and maintained by Jeff and his son, Kris. Together, along with a staff of 4 others, Stall and Kessler’s continues to deliver the same quality and service engrained in the roots on the ground that the company’s foundation was built on.
Being a small business, Stall and Kessler’s believes that being a part of our community is a privilege and blessing. We know that the only reason we continue to remain in our community is because of the support from individuals and organizations in the Greater Lafayette area and beyond. We believe that we have the responsibility to give back to the community that chooses to bless and support us so much. Thank you, Lafayette, for allowing us the opportunities to give our time, talent and/or financial support to the following organizations:
