We're Back From Florida!
We’re Back from Florida!
You may notice some rosy noses around Stall & Kessler’s the next time you see us. The reason? We just got back from Florida! Jeff & Kris (and their families) were so kind to host the entire Stall & Kessler’s team in Florida last week for an extended weekend. The goal of the trip was relaxation, team bonding, and celebration of Stall & Kessler’s 70th year in business. We’ll be celebrating that milestone later this year and can’t wait to tell you more about what we have planned. This blog post will be a fun overview of our activities during our 5-day trip together. You’ll find a variety of photos from our travels at the bottom of this blog post.
WEDNESDAY: Travel & Yummy Burgers
The Kesslers had already made their way down to FL, so the remaining group of us (5 in total) spent Wednesday making the half day trip to FL. After getting settled in our hotel, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Brook’s Burgers. The milkshakes were to die for! We walked off our dinner at Mercato and then headed back to the hotel to rest.
THURSDAY: Beach & Souvenirs
After snagging some butterbeer flavored coffee, we dropped Roxie off to enjoy a beach day. The other four of us enjoyed a trip to get permanent souvenirs. Afterward, we met back up with Roxie to enjoy some waves before heading back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner. We met the Kesslers at Tommy Bahama shortly thereafter. The food was AMAZING! Most of us enjoyed some sort of seafood and delightful cocktails. During dinner, Jeff & Kris even treated us to some delicious Sumo oranges and fancy chocolates. Most of us brought those home to share with our families. As was our habit, we made sure to go for a long walk along 5th Avenue after dinner to enjoy the fresh air. We ooh-ed and ah-ed at the beautiful artwork, cars, and other shops.
FRIDAY: Beach Bums All Day
On our second full day in Florida, we thought a beach bum day was the perfect plan. We stopped by a smoothie bowl joint before heading down to the beach. We were in the sand by 9am, and we soaked up the sunshine, went for walks, snacked, read good books, and enjoyed each other’s company until it was dinnertime. The 5 of us were on our own for dinner, so Brandon picked a dockside, seafood restaurant in Tin City. Every single one of us got tacos that were absolutely delicious. The fresh air of being by the water was also refreshing. We did a little post-dinner shopping in Tiny City, snagged some ice cream from Kilwin’s and rested for the evening.
SATURDAY: Farmer’s Market & More Beach
Saturday morning seemed like the perfect morning for donuts from Duck Donuts. We gobbled up some yummy treat before visiting the local farmer’s market. If you’re ever visiting Naples, FL, you’ve GOT to check it out. We spent the morning browsing lots of fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers. There were plenty of snacks to grab as well, so we picked our favorites before heading down the beach once more. While we weren’t able to enjoy our group dinner that was originally planned, four of us ended up at a quaint Mexican restaurant. Melissa & Brandon went out for some last-minute shopping, and we all rested before our travels home.
